An iconic British brand is looking for a Data Protection Paralegal, or recently qualified Solicitor, to join its In-house team and advise on Data Protection, GDPR, and Compliance.
Reporting into the Head of Legal and Head of Compliance, the successful Data Protection Paralegal / Counsel will be responsible for;
· Day to day support and guidance to the business worldwide on all aspects of data protection and data governance
· Advising the business on GDPR and any further changes to data protection legislation
· Assisting in the completion of data inventories, facilitating on-going data audits, and completing risk assessments
· Supporting the response to data breach incidents and the development of data breach management and response plans
· Drafting complex information law documents, including data transfer agreements, privacy impact assessments, NDAs, data sharing agreements, and privacy notices
· Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, and providing legal advice on broader issues, such as litigation, intellectual property, and IT
The role would suit a Paralegal or recently qualified Solicitor who has had significant hands-on experience in Data Protection. Ideally, this will have been in an In-house environment but we're equally keen to speak to candidates from Private Practice.

This global brand is looking for a Paralegal / NQ to join its In-house team and advise on Compliance, Data Protection, and GDPR.
This instantly recognisable business sells its products across the globe and has been building it's In-house team in the UK since early 2017. This expansion continues with the addition of a Paralegal / NQ In-house Counsel to support both the Head of Legal and Compliance Manager.
The role would suit an experienced Paralegal or newly qualified Solicitor with experience advising businesses on Data Protection, GDPR, and compliance matters.
The role will involve;
- Providing day to day guidance to the business on all aspects of data protection and data governance, including multi-jurisdictional matters
- Advising on GDPR and any subsequent changes to relevant legislation
- Facilitating data audits and risk assessments, writing of appropriate policies, and writing of user guides and training
- Supporting with response to data breaches and developing a data breach management response plan
- Advising on other related matters, including bribery and corruption, and competition
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts
- Providing legal advice on contractual issues, litigation, intellectual property, and IT, including managing external Counsel
