Assistant Legal Counsel -
Prologis operates the world's largest and most diverse portfolio of industrial distribution facilities. The business is looking to recruit a commercially astute Lawyer to join the business and advise on Real Estate matters, reporting into the General Counsel. The role is to be based in Blythe Valley, easily commutable from Solihull, Birmingham, and the Cotswolds.

By focusing on strategic global and regional markets, we help customers maximise the efficiency of their distribution, logistics and light manufacturing.
The role -
As a member of the team, you will be expected to provide effective legal support (under appropriate supervision) to the UK business, ensuring commercial goals are achieved.
· Provide commercially focused legal advice on leasing transactions (both for new build and renewals for existing buildings), property management matters, acquisitions and disposals and general development matters.
· Liaise internally with senior management, project managers and property managers, as well as external customers and their advisers
· Work with Group Treasury team on legal aspects of property financings
· Conduct effective due diligence, ensuring that property related legal risks and liabilities are recognised and evaluated, and that property transactions are effectively managed
· Support the development and maintenance of consistent property precedents and protocols
· Identify commercial and legal risks and offering pragmatic solutions.
· Uphold the highest ethical standards for the business, ensuring compliance with the Company`s Code of Ethics
· Be proactive in relation to regulatory and legislative developments
The person -
· Qualified Lawyer with more than 2 years PQE
· Working knowledge of Real Estate
· Preferable to have working in a leading firm in Practice
· Excellent communication and analytical skills
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

This will be primarily real estate work - leasing, development, construction, property management, acquisitions, disposals, financings and planning agreements.
This position will be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to make their first move in-house and broaden their experience in a sector leading business. With appropriate supervision, it will allow the ideal candidate to be involved in areas beyond pure real estate such as construction, company secretarial and general commercial matters.
