Global retail company seek NQ commercial lawyer for legal counsel role | Competitive package

A Global Retail Company is looking to appoint an NQ commercial legal counsel to join their in-house legal department in Oxfordshire. This is a newly created position designed to provide support to the growing international business units.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and working as part of a lean, highly skilled in-house team, the legal counsel will be responsible for:

• Drafting and negotiating commercial and corporate contracts, NDAs, software licensing agreements and sponsorship agreements;
• Advising and managing senior stakeholders across a range of departments, including sales, finance, innovation and marketing;
• Managing contracts concerning external suppliers;
• Some IP and trademark matters;
• Advising on compliance and general corporate governance issues; and
• Dealing with IT Outsourcing and procurement matters.

The legal counsel will be expected to provide timely, quality legal advice on a range of issues and to encourage legal compliance and data protection across the UK and European businesses.
