In house Commercial Solicitor

JDI Legal have over 18 years dedicated to the North East legal profession and are currently instructed on an exclusive basis for a brand new expansionary in house commercial solicitor vacancy. This role is working within a 3 strong team within the energy sector and on Tyneside.

This is an excellent role in a progressive and supportive team for a dedicated Commercial Solicitor. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the business in respect of commercial legal matters.

The principal accountabilities will involve:

Negotiating and drafting contracts.

Advising on the contractual position in respect of contracts that have been entered into.·        

Advising on ad hoc contractual disputes

Advising on procurement law issues.

Advising on acquisitions mainly in Europe and performing due diligence

Representing the company in any forums where commercial legal issues are discussed.

High degree of organisation and planning.

Applications are encouraged from solicitors with around 1-5PQE who possess a high academic record and currently working in commercial in a reputable law firm or a similar in house role.
