Our client's highly regarded mid market City and international banking and finance practice is looking for an experienced banking associate, preferably with at least 5PQE, to work on a variety of banking and finance deals but with a primary focus on corporate banking and leveraged finance, acting for a range of institutional and alternative lenders, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers. The team's ideal candidate will have a strong track record as a banking lawyer, preferably from a leading City or national practice but the team will consider excellent lawyers coming from highly regarded commonwealth practices, with experience of leading corporate banking, leveraged finance and private equity backed transactions, ideally both lender and borrower side. This person will have strong commercial awareness and a desire to play a key role in further developing the practice as well as his/her own practice.
