The role

The successful tax litigation associate will join the UK largest tax team within a law firm as part of the market leading contentious tax team and have the chance to work for an enviable client base including:

* Listed companies
* Foreign owned companies
* Public sector bodies
* Institutional investors

The candidate

The ideal tax litigation solicitor will be circa 1 year PQE and have trained at a highly regarded national or international firm. You should be technically excellent, commercially aware, innovative, forward thinking and able to demonstrate a desire to work in tax litigation. In particular you will have gained experience of one or more of the following areas of contentious tax work:

* Direct tax and indirect tax issues
* HMRC powers and enquiry process
* Tax Tribunal proceedings
* High Court restitution and judicial review.
