Commercial Media Lawyer

A great opportunity is available for a mid-senior (circa 4pqe) bright, entrepreneurial and ambitious media solicitor to join an internationally recognised commercial, media, entertainment and sport practice, part of a highly respected global law firm with a great heritage in technology, communications and IP.

The commercial and media group is led by an energetic group of partners with the ambition of being the advisers of choice for the world's leading media, entertainment and sporting organisations.

The successful candidate will ideally have extensive media experience gained from a peer firm although the partners are happy to consider people currently in-house or at smaller firms in so far as the experience and enthusiasm for the sector is evident.

The role will involve working with a dynamic client base to include broadcasters, platforms, rightsholders, technology businesses, gambling operators - from household names and high-growth businesses to start-ups - on a wide range of matters advising businesses on exciting transactions to include the exploitation of content, technology and data and who operate across multiple territories. Less than 5% of the role will be focused on corporate support.

You are expected to play an important role in helping to grow the UK and international business and delivering the sector strategy, working with a number of partners and other associates from across the sector group. You will be involved in blogs, events and thought leadership programmes.
