Our client is a fast growing insurance broker backed by one of the largest global private equity organisations. The company has grown rapidly through acquisitions since it started trading in 2014 and has grown to more than a dozen offices across the UK. In addition, it has made several acquisitions which include general insurance brokers, specialist advisers and MGA services.
In this role you will report directly to the General Counsel and have regular involvement with senior business people within the organisation, including the board, senior management, finance, M&A, risk/compliance, HR and broking teams.
It will be a very hands-on role, based at their head office in the City of London, covering the following:
· Commercial law - NDAs, distribution, terms of business, affinity and introducer agreements
· M&A - providing M&A support will be a very important part of the role and you will receive a lot of training and experience in this area
· Company secretarial / governance - they have a large and ever expanding group that needs to be looked after carefully
· Group restructuring / integration support, and assisting with our group finance arrangements.
The successful candidate will have 1-2 years PQE with a corporate background from a top City law firm or in-house. Previous insurance is a bonus but not necessary.
