Our client - a highly respected and leading IP firm who have a fantastic reputation in their field are now looking for a Patent Formalities Administrator to join their expanding team.

Patent Formalities Administrator

The role is varied and includes all aspects of patent administration, from filing through to grant; primarily involving GB, EP & PCT cases.

You will have experience of working in a busy patent formalities/records department and will have preferably passed the CIPA course.

Patent Formalities Administrator

Some of the duties involved will include:

  • Recording new and takeover cases electronically
  • Uploading documents for filing at the various patent offices
  • Working with the EPO's electronic mailbox and web-CMS system
  • Sending daily critical reminders to fee earners and any follow-up
  • Docketing incoming post
  • Handling the grant and validation procedures and various other tasks on an ad hoc or regular basis.

Patent Formalities Administrator

You will have the following experience/skills:

  • Experience of working in a patent formalities/records department
  • Ideally have passed CIPA course (but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Inprotech would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken English
