Communications Executive

This Communications Executive position is with one of the world’s leading law firms. This firm has gone through phenomenal growth in recent years through major mergers and is a true competitor to the magic circle firms. This role’s key relationships will be with the UK and Global Press Team, the Global Head of Comms, Internal Comms, Journalists and service suppliers. The role of the Communications Executive will include, but isn’t limited to, the following:

• Supporting with the data gathering and filling out annual surveys;
• Creating an internal daily alert of relevant press coverage;
• Maintaining/updating a spreadsheet of press mentions, using this sheet to create monthly media reports;
• Drafting press releases in relations to UL firm news;
• Starting to cultivate and maintain relationships with the press; and
• Sharing uploaded press releases via social media channels.

This firm are looking for a candidate that ideally is from the legal sector but will look at candidates with a journalist background. The candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Relevant experience in a similar role;
• A grasp of the UK and global media environments;
• An understanding of the legal sector and related PR opportunities;
• Excellent communications skills.
