Data Privacy Counsel - London

We have been instructed by a client we have worked closely with for some time who is looking to grow its Data Privacy Team in London and is looking for a junior-mid level lawyer to add their expertise.

The company is at the forefront of its industry and therefore the work you will be performing will be very high-profile and exciting.

There is a real focus on training and development of the lawyers within the legal team, were you will be given the tools and knowledge you require to be successful in your career.

The head of the team is an extremely impressive and personable individual, who I have worked with for many years. They have cultivated a friendly, motivated and enjoyable environment in the team.

The work/life balance is excellent, with days typically being 9-6.

Members of the team I have spoken to told me that they especially enjoy "the support and development offered by senior colleagues" as well as the "genuinely friendly atmosphere" in the team.

You would be instrumental in working on data privacy matters for new products, data breaches and would be working closely with members of the consumer team, which means you have a great deal of exposure to stakeholders.

Salary would be up to £70,000 with a host of benefits on top.

What you will need to be successful:

• at least 1 PQE experience gained in-house or from private practice;
• solid experience of Data Privacy and GDPR matters;
• a "can-do" attitude and the ability to turn your hand to lots of different matters;
• previous experience of telecoms would be beneficial, but not essential.
