THE ROLE - Real Estate Solicitor - Senior Associate (5-8 PQE)
THE BRIEF - On behalf of Taylor Wessing, G2 Legal is retained to recruit a Real Estate Solicitor at Senior Associate level to work from the new Liverpool office in the heart of the city.
You will work in the Liverpool real estate team, as part of the wider real estate group. Working alongside partners, associates, trainee solicitors and PSL’s, the real estate group is one of the most wide ranging in the UK and is recognised as a leader in undertaking work across the whole real estate sector. The real estate team is award winning having won 'Property Team of the Year' at the British Legal Awards as well as 'Real Estate Team of the Year' at the Lawyer Awards in close succession, an achievement unique to Taylor Wessing as an international law firm.
The real estate practice provides expert advice across the whole range of commercial property transactions and the group works both nationally and globally, with a significant proportion of business coming from the US, Middle East and Far East. The group regularly advises on investment deals in excess of £100m and development deals with end values of around £500m.
Key areas of focus include:
You will join the real estate group sitting in Liverpool, to undertake a wide range of real estate transactions, working closely at partner level. This will encompass the full stretch of commercial property work including development, landlord & tenant, investment and management of portfolios for a range of clients in the key focus areas.
THE PERSON -
We are looking for a commercial property solicitor with around 5-8 years' PQE and a strong academic background. The position sits at senior associate level and applications are encouraged from associates from 4 years' PQE, if you feel you have the proven requisite skills and experience to progress to senior associate level upon entry. Ideally you will have developed your practice within the real estate team at a leading national or strong regional law firm. This role will allow you to further develop your real estate experience across the full stretch of the groups' practice areas and importantly will allow you to build your own client relationships. As such a focus on business development and proven experience of client relationship management will need to be demonstrated together with a good commercial awareness to be able to deliver commercial focused advice to the groups' clients.
There will also be the opportunity for supervision and mentoring of associates and paralegals within the Liverpool real estate team.
