Job Title: Commercial Associate

Location: Central London

PQE: 5 Yr +

One of our clients, a successful media and entertainment law firm, are currently looking to recruit an associate for their commercial group. The successful candidate is likely to have at least 5 years post-qualification experience, but will certainly require the ability to handle, unsupervised, the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.

The associates in the team are expected to work in a range of industry sectors and for a variety of different types of client (including corporates, entrepreneurs and high-profile executives).  Successful candidates will therefore have a flexible, commercial approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to the highest client service standards.

Although the successful candidate will be expected to undertake a variety of work, a major aspect of the role will involve drafting and negotiating services agreements (including global framework master services arrangements), media-buying agreements, procurement agreements, IP licences and other general commercial agreements for a wide variety of businesses within the client group; it will also involve advisory work on data protection, IP rights, contract law (including issues of interpretation and termination).

Successful candidates will have a good academic record and a proven track record in handling a wide variety of commercial documents.  They must also demonstrate a commitment to high levels of client service, an ability to turn documents and advice quickly and efficiently, and the flexibility to deliver work product to tight deadlines.  Both an eye for detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving is essential. Salary completely negotiable depending on experience.

Please note our advertisements use PQE levels as a guide. We are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
