THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

• Job title: Employment Associate

• Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
• Reports to: Partner / Head of Department
• Previous Experience: Our client is ideally looking for someone from the top or middle tier, perhaps someone looking for a step up at a firm where they can help shape a growing and developing team. The work involves a split of contentious and non-contentious instructions.

The Manchester team is currently expanding as it seeks to gain a proper footing in the North West market. The department works closely with the London office and already enjoys a steady flow of contentious and non-contentious work and is building its reputation in Manchester, selling its services into existing clients of other departments, but also establishing itself as a work-winning team in its own right.

THE CANDIDATE 1-4 PQE

Our client is ideally looking for someone coming from the top or mid-tier, who is looking to develop their career. You will already have gained a significant amount of experience, having dealt with a range of clients, ultimately you will be looking for a firm where you can really spread your wings.

A good mix of contentious and non-contentious experience would be useful. Experience of developing and managing more junior lawyers would be useful, but is not critical and, as always, a passion for business development would also stand you in good stead.
