INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SOLICITOR (LITIGATION) - MANCHESTER 

Intellectual Property Solicitor Manchester – The commercial team of this leading national firm, which has been going from strength to strength recently is looking to hire a newly qualified to 2 years PQE intellectual property solicitor with particular strength in IP Litigation. The work promises to be varied and exciting with the chance to work with some of the most entrepreneurial lawyers in the market.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

• Job title: Intellectual Property Solicitor (NQ – 2)
• Location: Manchester
• Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
• Reports to: Partner
• Previous Experience: Prospective candidates should ideally come from a respectable firm having a good working knowledge of the various facets of IP litigation. NQs should ideally demonstrate previous intellectual property experience gained on their training contact. However, our client will also consider strong commercial litigators who have a particular interest in IP.

The intellectual property team advises on a vast range of contentious work from copyright to registered trademark litigation and Patent infringement to common law ‘passing off’ actions. Today a company’s IP is one of its most valuable assets and our client advises some of the most reputable brands in the commercial market place.

They also work with the other teams within the firm, providing corporate support where necessary and identifying areas of potential risk. The team advises all sizes of businesses from large listed multinationals to entrepreneurial business start-ups and SMEs with valuable IP portfolios.

The firm operates a sector-driven approach offering lawyers the chance to practice law across a broad spectrum of fields. This allows fee earners the opportunity to hone their legal skills in areas such as manufacturing and engineering to media as well as the creative industry sector.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong academic background, proven IP litigation or strong commercial litigation experience, but above all a passion for intellectual property and litigation.
