In House Lawyer - National, high profile charity - London

This is an in house legal position with a nationally renowned charitable organisation. The position is within an established and respected in house legal team, and is an opportunity to work on high profile work and for a junior to mid-level solicitor to develop into a generalist.

This role is with one of the best known charities in the UK, which is very active in offering care and assistance to those affected by terminal illnesses and in partnering with strong commercial brands in pursuit of the cause.

Description

Examples of the type of work include:

• providing legal input to working groups,
• drafting, developing and disseminating standard precedent documents and drafting notes,
• supporting and training teams on matters such as contract management,
• contract law (eg: sponsorship agreements, and commercial participation matters) and data protection
• providing support to the Director of Legal.

The work is always varied and challenging.

Profile

The successful candidate will be likely to:

• be a UK qualified lawyer;
• have between two or three years of post qualification experience.

A background in the charity sector, as well as experience of fund-raising and corporate partnerships, is desirable though not essential.

The bare minimum requirement for this position is good experience of commercial contracts and some experience and or understanding of the GDPR regime.
