General Counsel.

We have been instructed by our client, an international law firm, on their search for their first General Counsel.
 
Reporting directly to the Managing Partners, you will be heading up the Legal, Risk and Compliance team. This is a high profile role for the firm, and the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate their commitment to fostering best practice, as well as their understanding of the world of risk and compliance. The role involves working in partnership with all levels of the firm in London.
 
Ideally, you will have extensive experience on issues relating to legal and regulatory compliance, as well as other wide ranging risk issues including data protection, confidentiality, commercial contracts and cyber security.
 
This position is a rare opportunity for a UK qualified Commercial Solicitor with substantial demonstrable commercial contracts, as well as risk and compliance experience from private practice or in-house. Experience in regulatory compliance, ideally in a large law firm or professional services environment is essential.
