A prestigious International Law Firm is looking to hire a new IT Manager to join the London office, taking the responsibilities of the global IT operational service having accountability for performance, maintenance, availability, upgrades, integration, enhancements, support and software licence management. Responsibilities will include having operational responsibility for the global IT function, working closely with the IT Management team, ensuring appropriate support, both internal and external, is in place to deliver services, the setting and management of operational priorities, provide operational oversight for all services and systems, establish and maintain regular communications with the IT management team, IT team, stakeholders, decision-makers, department heads, end users and other stakeholders, assist with the creation and management of budgets, contribute to and promote methodologies, frameworks, best practise and processes, attend users groups and industry events. Other duties include being responsible for IT Induction and education for new members of the team, ensuring teams follow IT change management process at all times, recruitment of appropriately skilled team members, plan, organise, negotiate and allocate operational resource, along with their direct manager, be responsible for the year round management of the teams and ongoing personal development plans, along with their manager, manage staff appraisals and input into annual salary reviews, train, develop, coach and mentor team members, along with their manager, plan holidays of staff and control sickness, absence etc. Candidates must have previous IT Management experience within a professional services organisation, preferably within a law firm, an ITIL certificate and excellent project management, leadership and vendor management skills.
