In-House Paralegal - Charity

An excellent and unusual opportunity has arisen for an In-House Paralegal to join a high profile charity in central London on a part time basis.

The charity works to provide free and confidential advice to individuals in relation to financial, legal, consumer, housing and other issues through a large network across the UK.

The successful In-House Paralegal can look forward to reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, advising on funding agreements and working on intellectual property matters (like trade marks and copyrights), as well as data protection and privacy matters.  You will also be drafting legal guides for employees, such as templates, as well as conducting legal research and monitoring developments in the law, particularly in relation to the charity sector.

Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, the In-House Paralegal will also get involved with project work, such as GDPR and the delivery of an internal project to increase awareness of the in-house legal function at the charity.

The ideal Paralegal will have prior In-House experience, particularly analysing and drafting commercial contracts. Legal experience from another charity or non-profit would be extremely advantageous.

This In House Paralegal role would particularly suit a parent returning to work part-time or a student with at least 12 months’ Paralegal experience looking to combine work and their studies.

The charity are very flexible and are happy for the successful Paralegal to either work three full days per week or to spread the hours across four or five days.
