General Counsel

A leading marketing and technology business are looking to hire a General Counsel to join and lead their existing in-house team in London.

Responsibilities of your new role

The General Counsel role will be broad, working collaboratively with wider commercial teams from within the business and responsible for:

• Driving the end-to-end contract process - drafting, reviewing, advising on and negotiating contracts with business customers and suppliers.
• Providing intellectual property and IT focused advice to the business.
• As a key member of the senior management team, you will be reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.
• Leading, developing and motivating the in-house legal team.

Required skills, experience and qualifications

The business is looking to appoint a General Counsel who can demonstrate:

• Full UK qualification with minimum 4 years of PQE.
• A broad commercial background with strong experience in IT and intellectual property.
• Candidates with a law firm or in-house background will be equally considered.
