Description

Our client a leader in its sector is looking to recruit an In House Senior Legal Counsel to join their in house legal team the key responsibilities includes the following. The role can be based in either Leeds or Sheffield.

• Provide strategic, technical, timely, commercially aware legal advice and identify and advise on legal risks and issues across a range of contracts and projects on a pro-active basis and within the company's overall governance framework appropriate to skills and experience.
• Work with the LexCo on developing legal policies, procedures and guidance and leading and/or participating in any required legal projects and initiatives as agreed.
• Acts as voice of conscience for values-based decision making within the clients governance framework.
• Liaise with and support other functional groups on group-wide or Divisional projects and/or reporting.
• Manage day to day any lawyers and other people allocated full time within the team, subject to the structure of the team.
• Managing personal continuous professional development, sharing know-how with the wider Legal Team other duties and responsibilities reasonably required that are commensurate with the role.

Profile

Candidates who have Commercial experience either from a private practice or in house background should apply for the role.
