A forward thinking and widely rewarded business with connections to the financial services sector and a strong client base, requires a commercially-focused in house paralegal or their small however highly regarded In-house legal function based in North Leeds.
We'd anticipate this person having at least 12 months experience as a paralegal focusing on commercial/corporate work ideally with some data protection experience although this isn't essential. Working closely with a solicitor you'll be a pragmatic and solutions orientated paralegal who can pick things up quickly.
The legal function is a high profile and visible operation to the business and you'll need to be the type of individual who enjoys being at the front end of negotiations - someone who enjoys this degree of commercial exposure with a real interest in commercial law and relevant experience behind you.
The role will see the successful candidate highly involved within data protection, GDPR, NDA's and commercial contracts for the company's clients. Any litigation experience would be beneficial as there is also the opportunity to work with another solicitor within the business, however those without this, but relevant and recent commercial experience are still encouraged to apply.
It's a hugely supportive and friendly environment with strong work ethics and a desire to do things "away from the norm", leading the way with many initiatives. The team are both relaxed, operate on flexible hours, offer a competitive pay and strong benefits package. Their offices are 2 minutes' walk from a train station and parking is available for those wishing to drive.
Those candidates who have worked in Financial Services or similar regulated sectors are of great interest, however this is not essential. This is a role for a commercial/corporate generalist who is customer focussed and motivated to be highly influential to a business at the forefront of their sector and striving to improve all the time, particularly in offering to run things when more senior staff are not present.
