Childcare Lawyer required for an initial 3 month period, with a possibility for extension, to join a local authority based in East of England.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Childcare Lawyer to join a friendly, well supported team. The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately and confidently manage their own caseload. Caseloads will be of varying complexity; including child protection and safeguarding matters. Other duties will include:

  • Conducting pre proceeding matters
  • Attending LPM and PLO meetings
  • Attending court covering own cases
  • Advocacy experience is ideal, but not essential

Candidates with local government experience is desirable and the successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or legal executive. In return, there may be some element to work from home and offer flexible working hours for the right candidate.
