Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

Our client is a global leader in their sector with a top level in-house legal team spread across the globe. They are now seeking to recruit an experienced lawyer as a Senior Legal Counsel - Data Services & Digital Technology to join their international legal team. This position will be based in the global headquarter in Brussels.

Reporting directly into the Chief Legal Officer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice focussed on Data, Digital and Technolgy-related matters to the business globally. You will be developing the overall strategy and the operational support for the management in the area of technology, data and digital. You will develop a centre of excellence in these areas and will advising on legal matters when new business models and commercial opportunities arise in this area. You will be working closely across the business, particularly IP, IT, etc.

You will be an outstanding lawyer with at least eight years' post-qualification experience gained in an top level international law firm or in an internationally operating company. You have a comprehensive knowledge of the relevant legal provisions impacting data, digital telecommunications, information and technology. You are a strong self-starter with very good commercial acumen, are an excellent communicator and team player. You are very good in influencing and building relationships on all levels. Fluency in English is mandatory.
