Based just outside Didcot, this leading independent innovation and technology company focuses much of their time on the exploitation of space. This non-for-profit research organisation is rapidly growing and has gone from strength to strength in recent year building upon the industry worth near £15bn.

Your new role
Your new role full time opportunity based in the office in Harlow, will include directly influencing large-scale commercial contracts and grant agreements with customers, property agreements, and legal matters related to corporate transactions. Accountable for ensuring that the organisation is aware of all commercial risks prior to entering into agreements, and where possible, mitigating it through its contractual arrangements. As the Head of Legal you will also be responsible for all IP matters, GDPR, Compliance and management of the internal precedent band of legal documentation.

What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales and be able to hit the ground running with a minimum of 5 years PQE. You should have a clear proven track record of advising complex contracts, grant agreements, state aid matters as well as experience advising both legal and risk issues to senior management and stakeholders. Further to these requirements an understanding of NDA, cloud agreements and IP is also needed.
