A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen with a top international law firm for a Pensions Solicitor/Associate to join their highly regarded team in Birmingham. This role offers exceptional work, excellent salary and the opportunity to work with market leaders.

About the role

The successful Pensions Solicitor/Associate will be based in the firm's Birmingham office which boasts a large, multi-award winning Pensions team. The firm's national Pensions team act for a whole host of household named clients on a range of high profile project work and advisory services.

The successful candidate will act for major corporates or trustees of pension schemes providing advice on a wide range of pensions law, including:

- Drafting scheme documentation
- Advising on legislative changes including the Pensions Bill
- Pension scheme mergers
- Scheme wind ups
- Investment issues such as investment management agreements
- TUPE issues
- Corporate support

The team is a large one and as a result of this, you would have the rare opportunity to choose the areas you would like to specialise in e. public sector pensions, pension disputes, pension investment issues etc.

About the Pensions Solicitor

Given the nature of the work, you will be a UK qualified Real Estate Solicitor with, as a guide, at least 6 months experience gained during a Training Contract at a reputable firm. Candidates with up to circa 4 years PQE will be strongly considered.

You will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and be proficient at working in an organised and efficient manner. You will have sound drafting skills and will thrive when working within a team on complex matters.
