JOB TITLE: Residential Conveyancer
PQE: 5+ years’ experience managing own caseload of residential conveyancing matters
LOCATION: Lancashire, Burnley
SALARY: 30 to 35K (Negotiable Upon experience)
HOURS: 8:30am to 5:30pm Full Time Permanent ( January start )
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who are based in the Burnley area. The company are part of a group of properties that provide full in-house property management services. Services include purchasing, renovating, selling, renting and long-term maintenance of properties. The group own several hundred properties in the East Lancashire area with aims to expand further. The This is a busy and demanding role where you will be dealing with property on the company’s behalf as in-house residential conveyancer.
The Role:
· Ensuring a smooth transaction for purchasing properties (chasing for contract packs, reviewing contract packs, liaising with the buying team, reviewing local searches and leases etc)
· Ensuring a smooth transaction for our sales (liaising with external solicitors and working in accordance to the Company’s expectations and procedures)
· The key requirement is to process purchases and sales within the target timescales set by the Company
· Ensuring all legal checks have been performed and covered and referring to senior management for completion
· All completions must be planned ahead with senior management on a weekly basis
· Ensuring that enquiries are raised and that properties are submitted for registration in a prompt manner
· Ensuring excellent communication with the Buying Team and alignment with regards to which stage all the properties are at
· Updating the system with regards to each case and keeping all files and paperwork up to date both electronically and paper
· Ensuring that the administration process and procedure is followed with regards to all the legal files
The successful candidate will have over 5 years’ experience working in residential conveyancing and be a fully qualified Licensed Conveyancer who is capable of dealing with all matters from initial instruction through to completion. A relevant legal qualification would be ideal, however more importantly, you will have a solid track record in residential property - dealing with a wide range of properties. You must have excellent computational skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
