Paralegal (Litigation/Arbitration)

Our client, a top tier US and international law firm are looking to hire a permanent paralegal to work within a busy, high profile and successful litigation and arbitration department.  Ideal candidates will have extensive experience of arbitration gained from either a fellow US, or UK/international law firm with an added preference for those with exposure to arbitration systems from other jurisdictions such as New York or European countries, along with the UK court system.  Candidates will be expected to hit the ground running so with this in mind,  it is essential to possess a background of working on hearings from initial instruction to final resolution. 

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Client and case research.
• Collating and bundling of case files.
• eDiscovery review.
• Court/trial attendance
• Drafting and preparation of witness statements following client interviews.
• Any other ad hoc requirements as directed by the lawyers and partners of the department.

To be considered for this role, candidates will be required to have a flexible and committed attitude to working hours as overtime is always readily available.  Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are also key, as the team will often be working to stringent timelines with the added expectation of being renowned for always providing the highest standard of work, even when under pressure.  Academic expectation is minimum 2:1 law degree or GDL equivalent with high scores in the LPC.
