Facilities Manager

Our client, an elite tier global law firm is seeking to hire a Facilities & Operations Manager for their brand new, contemporary office space. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the proactive, efficient and cost effective facilities function, working closely with the Director of Administration.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that the building and all associated services/facilities including external contractors and internal facilities teams, meet the needs of the business and its’ operations.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Developing short and long term strategic plans relating to facilities/building management for the purpose of business planning, forecasting and budgeting.
• Collaborating with relevant stakeholders in regards to new implementations
• Project Management – eg site repairs, preventative maintenance and improvement plans
• Maintaining day to day operations and acting as a liaison on building processes
• Working with service suppliers and their ongoing reviews
• Managing contracts and setting out requirements
• Consistently evaluating space to provide flexibility in a modern environment
• Developing best practice
• Ensuring adequate training is provided
• Overseeing the  professional development processes for all Facilities teams

A highly competitive salary is on offer of up to £70k (dependent upon experience) + an excellent benefits package and discretionary bonus scheme.

Suitable applicants will have circa 10+ years’ experience in a facilities operations in either a law firm or professional services environment. Demonstrative project management, contract negotiation and supplier management skills are a necessity as well as strong communication skills and strong knowledge of facilities management/health and safety legislation.
