Our client is a leader in its field and is looking for an In-house Employment Solicitor to join their busy and growing legal team.
The successful candidate will provide advice and support to the businesses and their senior managers on a wider range of non-contentious employment matters. They will also be responsible for any contentious employment issues that could occur.
You should be able to point towards experience of drafting, updating and advising upon employment contracts and related agreements, policies and procedures. You will liaise with internal stakeholders in the business providing timely commercial advice on all relevant issues.
You will be able to point to experience of handling a broad range of employment litigation from inception to resolution, including advocacy in Employment Tribunals or Court and instructing Counsel as necessary.
This is a broad in-house role so you will also help with legal matters relating to the operations side of the business and on occasions deal with disputes and breach of contract issues.
In-house experience would be desirable, but the client would consider a private practice lawyer looking to move in-house who could point to good business and commercial skills.
Our client envisages that candidates with between 2 - 4 years PQE will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
