In-house Commercial Lawyer - Qatar (Tax Free)

A leading Qatari Corporation with an international presence seeks an in-house lawyer who is a Native English speaker with a minimum of 5 years PQE solid commercial experience.

The Role
The successful candidate will set the legal guidelines, policies, manuals, handbooks and "Contracts' Management Procedures" for the business and its subsidiaries in Qatar and GCC region. As part of your role, you will be required to provide legal guidelines, policies and rules, and prevent possible commercial risk across the company, divisions and business units. There is a requirement of upgrading the current Company General Forms of Contracts and Special Forms of Contracts the company, divisions and business units use on a daily basis. The vast majority of your role requires drafting, interpreting, analysing, negotiating and approving the signing of contracts in the legal areas of commercial, corporate, construction and property or any other areas as the need arises. Experience of Qatari Law would be beneficial as you will be reviewing legal and contractual documents to verify accuracy and compliance with the state laws, regulations.

The Candidate
Must have 5yrs + PQE in Common Law having an educational background from a reputable international university with excellent academics. The ideal candidate will be a Common Law lawyer having qualified in UK, Ireland, Australian or New Zealand. Must be capable to advise the business on commercial risks than might impact the business.
