Childcare Locum

Venn Group's specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Childcare Solicitor to join a Local Authority legal team based in the Hertfordshire area. This contract is offered for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of extension dependant on work load and the needs of the organisation.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with previous experience specialising in Local Government.

Duties may include:

• Attending and advising at Legal Planning Meetings and PLO Meetings across the County
• Managing a caseload of between 15-20 cases on behalf of the Local Authority
• Dealing with matters including emergency applications and adoption matters in court
• Preparing of cases and conducting own advocacy before the Family Courts and instructing counsel where appropriate
• Advising and conducting Emergency Protection Orders

Candidates will be considered on a full-time basis for the position, with an hourly rate of up to £30 -£40 per hour dependent on experience is offered.
