Boutique US law firm is looking to hire a new Senior Business Development/Pitch Coordinator to join their international Client Relations (CR) team to work closely with the firms lawyers and leadership groups to develop outstanding presentations, pitches, and responses for Proposals and Business Development (BD) initiatives for all practice areas.  Main responsibilities will include to lead the proposal process: analyse requests, participate in go / no-go decisions, provide strategic thinking and ideas on structuring the firm’s proposal approach, set proposal schedule, draft, edit and produce proposal documents, draft and edit copy for capability statements, case studies and bios, plus occasionally other collateral such as client communications, prepare, maintain, and track proposal records, gather pitch feedback and provide post-pitch analysis.  This role will work with Associate Director, International BD, BD Managers and local lawyers to identify client targets, develop relevant research and execute plans to acquire new business, work with Partners and CR leadership to analyse opportunities and ensure firm strategies are reflected in our proposal activities plus you will be responsible to undertake company, stakeholder and competitor intelligence gathering plus maintain and develop new content for the firm’s proposal generator system and regularly produce reports to keep the firm appraised of various business development activities, including reporting on pitch and proposal activity and performance.  Applicants must have strong pitch/proposal experience and be degree educated.  Candidates must be driven and self-motivated individuals, capable of working with little to no guidance, yet also comfortable in working in team settings, be able to exhibit professionalism and leadership in guiding Senior Partners through the various proposal stages, be able to effectively communicate in person, via email and via phone plus be comfortable with high volume, fast-paced, deadline driven scenarios and have experience of prioritising workloads and delegating as required.  Applicants need to have worked in a legal Business Development team for at least three years with experience in helping create pitches and proposals and have been accountable with their decision making within their role.
