ULR Property Team File Handler – Cheadle, Stockport - £26,000
A rare opportunity has become available to join a specialist legal claims solutions firm in their growing Greater Manchester office based in Stockport.
Due to continued growth my client is looking for an experienced file Handler to join their forward-thinking, dynamic department as part of the ULR Property Team. This is a fast paced and rewarding role which would see the successful candidate having responsibility for the conduct of a caseload of pre-issue and litigated property subrogation cases (small claims and fast track).
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of pre-issue and litigated Property Subrogation cases (small claims and fast track).
- Collate all relevant information and documentation regarding the Customers and their Clients financial losses.
- Assess liability prospects in all cases.
- Instruct Experts or Loss Adjustor in appropriate cases.
- Obtain and review all evidence relating to Customer and their Clients losses
- Review quantum and the prospects of recovery and advise Customers and or their Clients accordingly.
- Submit claims to third party parties and enter in liability and quantum negations.
- Advise Customers and or their Client regarding any counter-proposals, and options relating to settlement, progression litigation where appropriate.
- Achieve settlement or other targets as notified by the firm.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of handling a caseload of pre-issue and litigated property cases such as impact, fire, flood and water damage. You will need to have a good understanding of the legislation and protocols relating to Property Subrogation and liability. It is important that you are able to continually review and assess prospects at an early stage and continually review prospects of success as evidence is received.
