Legal Counsel – Commercial

A Large Consumer Group is seeking a commercially astute legal Counsel to join their in-house team in Bristol. Offered on a full-time and permanent basis, this is a fantastic opportunity for a junior to mid-Level lawyer looking to further develop their corporate commercial acumen in-house with a rapidly growing company in a cutting-edge industry.

Responsibilities of your new role

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, your primary responsibility as legal counsel will be to provide legal support to the business across a variety of matters, including:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and corporate contracts;
• Dealing with IT, software licensing and digital contracts;
• Marketing and sales agreements;
• Supply and procurement matters;
• Managing some IP and trademark matters;
• Liaising with Marketing, Sales and Finance departments; and
• Instructing external counsel when necessary.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

The in-house team is looking to speak with high calibre commercial lawyers who can demonstrate:

• Fully qualified with 2+ years of PQE;
• Ideally some exposure advising within the Retail or FMCG sectors;
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across the company; and
• Experience dealing with regulatory matters is desirable.
