Legal Secretary (Construction) – 6 month FTC

Our client, a large International law firm based near St Pauls are looking for a legal secretary with a background in construction to join their busy Construction, Engineering and Projects practice group. The legal secretary will support a small group of associates with all aspects of diary management and case administrative duties. You will be required to manage your own workload including all general administrative duties as well as engaging in general client liaison over the phone and through documentation and post. Duties include;

  • General case administration
  • Prepare correspondence, briefing notes and PowerPoint presentations
  • Setting up new files in accordance with firm policy standards
  • Data management through InterAction
  • Assist with client billing
  • Inbox management,  preparing draft responses for clients
  • Diary management – arrange lunches, internal/external client meetings, seminar attendances
  • Provide secretarial cover when necessary

The successful candidate will be an ILEX qualified legal secretary with property/construction experience within a law firm, and able to;

  • Handle various search functions and forms and case management required in a busy property department
  • Type min 60wpm
  • Possess strong MS Office skills including PowerPoint, Worksite, Carpe Diem
  • Elite billing
  • Interaction
  • Applying for searches and using laser forms
  • Digital dictation
  • 60 wpm

Personality wise they are looking for a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who has the ability to work effectively under pressure when required.
