Locum Planning Lawyer (Part Time-Outside IR35)

Venn Group's specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Part-Time Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This contract is offered for an initial period of 3 - 6 months with the possibility of further extension. There is also a significant amount of remote working available for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with previous experience gained working within Local Government.

Duties may include:

• Drafting and negotiating s106 agreements
• Dealing with planning enforcements
• Acting as the council's legal advisor at Planning Committees and providing advice on planning matters to officers and members
• Advising on possible options relating to enforcement action for long-standing cases
• Drafting necessary planning and other infrastructure agreements

Candidates will be considered on a 3 day basis for the position, and an hourly rate between £35 - £40 on an outside IR35 basis is on offer dependent on experience.
