Childcare Solicitor

Our client is a multi-sited high street law firm. Their lawyers support advises and work with individuals and their families across Surrey, Kent and SE London.  They are very established and renowned for their Childcare work. The firm are looking for a further Childcare Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE, ideally you will be on the panel or working towards.

What is the role

The Childcare team consists of 8 Solicitors across all branches.  For this role in Kent you will be working alongside 2 senior solicitors and paralegal. As a team they represent parents and family members in care proceedings, many are members of the children panel which allow them to represent children in care proceedings by working with Guardians.

Main responsibilities for this role are:

  • Care proceedings
  • Discharge of care proceedings
  • Adoption
  • Special Guardianship Orders
  • Contact with children who are in care
  • Regularly attend court

What you will need?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified UK Solicitor 3 years PQE +
  • Technically strong in Childcare Law
  • Advocacy experience
  • Empathetic approach

Preferred Qualifications

  • Children Panel Member or working towards
