Lead Intelligence Analyst
Birmingham - up to £45,000
A highly-regarded, national, Legal 500 firm are looking for an experienced Lead Intelligence Analyst to join their Counter Fraud & Intelligence department in central Birmingham.
You will be responsible for conducting intelligence investigations for the Counter Fraud & Intelligence team. You will work with insurers, local authorities, public sector and corporate clients.
Key duties:
- Conduct detailed OSINT desktop investigations, intelligence enquiries & analysis and prepare reports for clients
- Deal with client enquiries in regards to the firm's intelligence range of products via reviewing papers, agreeing pricing, conducting desktop searches and open sources
- Prepare intelligence reports and liaise with senior team members to ensure any concerns are acknowledged and dealt with
- Prepare witness statements and preserve searches and intelligence enquiries as evidence for presentation in court using a CMS and counter fraud database
- Attend court as required
- Deliver to specific client and team deadlines and targets
- Review and understand the original documentation of the client file to evaluate lines of enquiry and validate concerns
- Meeting reporting and response deadlines in accordance with clients' SLAs
- Recording all time to ensure all billable search enquires on all files are captured
- Prepare statements for use in court
You must have:
- An excellent understanding of fraud risk management and fraud vulnerabilities
- Full working knowledge of OSINT tools and industry-standard validation tools
- Understanding of tools to investigate cyber vulnerabilities within organisations
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Suitable IFIG SPOC trained or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in intelligence, investigation or security/enforcement agency or equivalent in insurance or business fraud or criminal investigation
- Litigation and fraud legal experience
- Carried out fraud-related intelligence investigations
- Previous experience dealing with claims in an SRA-regulated environment
