My client is one of the top 20 charities based in the UK and has a small however, established and well regarded In-house legal team. They are looking to appoint a generalist Solicitor with a demonstrable commercial mindset and pragmatic approach to support the GC and Company secretary and help drive them forward.
They employ over 13000 staff and have over 400 locations, ultimately the successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with (ideally) at least a couple of years PQE and responsibilities will include;
Managing a range of contracts, including those for the supply of goods and services, service level agreements, housing management agreements, contracts with suppliers and standard terms and conditions. You will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating tender documentation, including publicly procured contracts and advising the Executive Team regarding risks and onerous terms. You will draft procurement documentation relating to the supply of professional services, and other goods and services. You will be skilled at providing general legal advice to the Executive Team and Board of Trustees, other client departments and colleagues in our services, providing general advice relating to statutory and regulatory compliance and instructing and liaising with external Solicitors, as and when required.
Any experience of dealing with property matters including drafting and negotiating heads of terms, leases and licences, dealing with disposals and legal charges etc would be especially useful, however this is not essential.
It is based in a fantastic location, commutable from most areas in the North West.
