Head of Residential Conveyancing

JDI Legal - North East based specialist recruiters who have over 18 years dedicated service to the region are currently working with a progressive and expanding Newcastle law firm who are recruiting an expansionary role for a talented and experienced Residential Conveyancer. 

The role will ultimately be the Head of Residential Conveyancing and involve inheriting an existing caseload of circa 70 transactions, a mix of private and referrer and the full spectrum of residential conveyancing including sales and purchase (freehold and leasehold), remortgage, transfer of equity etc from instruction to post completion as well as supervising and managing 2-3 paralegals who have their own caseload.

The management side of things will include monitoring workflows, ensuring deadlines are made, dealing with any complex queries. Ensuring the for referrer work that service levels are met and that all clients get a high rate of client care.

IT literacy is important as in addition to a case management system, because of the position its likely there would be the need to print off reports and management information.

Applications are invited from a range of qualification but the candidates MUST have sound technical ability and be able to hit the ground running with a caseload.  The supervisory element is something that can grow with the role and the individual.
