An exciting role has just become available for a Paralegal in a very prestigious law firm in their IP department. This firm offers excellent room for progression and culturally it continues to support its staff in achieving their goals.  Based in the heart of the city, opportunities like this do not come along regularly.

Paralegal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide support for new and existing Trademark cases. This may include billing and invoicing, client on-boarding, co-ordinating and managing files.
• Review IP portfolios, data creation and verification.
• Update correspondence regarding timetables, deadlines and documentation into the IP database accordingly.
• Offer and provide support to the wider Trademarks team including senior and junior members of staff.
• Analysing and presenting data entries in spreadsheet format.
• Preparing and filing application forms and other relevant Trademark documentation.
• Positively contributing to the progress of the team as a whole.
• Any other ad hoc Trademark tasks and projects that may arise.

Skills and Attributes:

• 1 year Paralegal experience in Trademarks within a successful IP department (private practice preferable).
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• A working knowledge of Trademark management systems such as WebTMS.
•  Excellent time management, the ability to work to tight deadlines and remaining calm under pressure.
• Completion of CITMA would be preferable (or a willingness to complete the course).
• Knowledge of formality requirements for protecting Trademarks and designs.
• Good experience with Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
