Sellick Partnership is currently assisting a local authority based in London with the recruitment of a Senior Property Lawyer for an initial 12 month basis. Management experience is essential as they need someone to act as a senior liaison point for clients and supervise the more junior members of the team.
This is a varied role which will require the successful candidate to advise on Property matters for multiple clients, including the local authority's casework and complex corporate projects. This will include:
- Landlord and Tenant queries
- Transactional work e. leases and licenses for businesses, drafting and negotiating new commercial leases
- Hire agreements
- Commercial purchase and sales
- Acquisition and sales of freehold and leasehold land both registered and unregistered including option agreements
- Disposals in relation to housing sites and land to the registered provider; development agreements
- Dealing with lease extensions and enfranchisements
- Regeneration projects
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer, and will come from a commercial property background. Previous local authority experience is desirable but not essential.
The local authority are happy to accommodate the successful candidate a level of flexibility with working hours and working from home. The office is easy to reach, situated within walking distance from the town centre, making it easily accessible by public transport.
