The group

Our multi-disciplinary real estate group has a long-standing reputation for delivering astute practical counsel. It comprises not only lawyers but also town and country planners and sector focused financial advisors. We therefore take pride in having one of the best integrated groups.

We’re also one of the fastest growing real estate practices, having more than doubled revenue over the last 2 and a half years, with plans to do the same again by 2022. Our firm works for an enviable client base and we count 7 of the UK’s largest house builders as established clients and in the last 12 months we have dealt with the sale of over 7,000 plots.

The roles

We have a strong track record of achieving ambitious targets and are looking for individuals to support our future plans. This is a fantastic time to join our Birmingham office as we look for Development/Commercial Property Lawyers from Associate to Partner level to join our expanding Development and Plot Sales teams. Our Real Estate practice offers excellent opportunities for progression and exposure to a quality client base. Our position in the Plot Sales team will work with the UK’s largest house builders, playing a key role advising them at board and director level. You will manage our established team, helping to shape and grow the department through our existing and long established relationships.

We will consider candidates on a full time or part time basis.

For our Plot Sales team role:

Your responsibilities will include

  • Running files from start to finish
  • Management of a team of Conveyancers and Legal Assistants
  • Site set up and technical support for the wider team
  • Drafting deeds of easement and deeds of release of restrictive covenants
  • Developing and strengthening our existing client relationships with national housebuilders

Your skills and experience

  • An excellent technical knowledge of Real Estate law
  • Experience with site set-ups
  • A proven track record of building client relationships
  • Experience managing, mentoring or supervising others
  • A passion for problem solving and finding practical and innovative solutions
  • Proven IT skills
  • A natural aptitude and desire to win new business
