BANKING LITIGATION SOLICITOR - MANCHESTER

Banking Litigation Solicitor – A role has arisen for a junior Associate to focus on a broad spectrum of banking and financial services litigation. The role will encompass a mixed caseload from a range of clients including banks, mortgage providers as well as other financial services organisations. Instructions can be anything from recoveries work to complex professional negligence as well as general banking and dispute resolution.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

  • Job title: Solicitor / Associate
  • Location: Manchester
  • Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
  • Reports to: Partner
  • Previous Experience: Previous banking litigation experience would be highly beneficial especially experience working for major lenders. Professional negligence experience would also be a valuable skill set. However, more general commercial litigation and civil litigation experience will also be considered.

GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF MANCHESTER TEAM

The Manchester team acts for most of the major national lenders. However, the department is still very much growing and expanding. As a result, they are looking for junior Associates with a range of PQE.

Those with previous experience of financial services litigation are strongly encouraged to apply. The team advises on everything from mortgage and corporate recovery work to complex professional negligence matters. The team also provide non-contentious advisory support to clients to ensure their policies and procedures remain sound and up-to-date.

Whilst previous financial services litigation would obviously be an advantage, the team is also on the look-out for general litigation experience and for those with the ambition to develop a career in this sector who can grow with the team in Manchester.

CULTURE

The team emphasises a strong team culture. Teams work across offices and are structured across sectors rather than individual specialisms. This helps to afford fee earners of all levels a change to be exposed to a broader range of work.

You will work in a highly innovative, professional, yet relaxed office environment where the focus is always on client service. The team as well as the firm as a whole invest heavily in staff and are intent on attracting lawyers who embrace change and think creatively about solving the problems faced by their clients.
