Bespoke Legal Practice

£18,000 - £21,000 - Permanent
A dynamic Legal Practice is currently seeking a Litigation Claims Handler to join their busy legal team in an exciting new position. The Firm specialises in Corporate & Commercial, Property, Employment, Negligence and Personal Injury law. This role is based within their Road Traffic Accident team working for a large motor insurer.
The candidate will join a friendly and experienced team of other Claims Handlers and will be responsible for issuing proceedings and against third party insurers who fail to settle claims on behalf of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Can assess liability
* Answering phones
* Drafting letters
* Reviewing evidence such as police reports and witness statements
* Negotiating liability
* Negotiating quantum
* Drafting court documents (applications, reply to defence, statements)
* Liaising with Counsel
* Briefing Counsel
* Negotiating costs
* Complying with a court timetable
Required Experience
* Claims Handling in Insurance is a requirement.
* Previous experience drafting court and legal documents
* Ability to work cohesively with a team
* Determined and driven attitude
