Legal Counsel, Venture Capital

One of the leading Venture Capital funds is looking to hire a Corporate/Private Equity Associate into the role of Legal Counsel.  With a proven track record of investing in high-growth disruptive technology businesses, this is one of the most exciting places in the City to work as a transactional lawyer.

This role will act as dedicated counsel to the VC arm of a diverse Group of companies, so will enjoy significant autonomy and responsibility for a broad range of legal work.  For the large part, the role will have a heavy transactional focus, so you should expect to be reviewing/negotiating a high volume of SPAs, Term Sheets, DD reports etc and liaising with senior stakeholders on the issue of legal risk.

The successful candidate will likely have spent 2 years' post-qualification in the corporate department of a City law firm, and will ideally have had exposure to private equity or VC deals.  In addition to a stellar academic record, you must be numerate, flexible/adaptable and highly commercial.  This is a role in which will need you to be able to assess risk and then make and justify commercial decisions accordingly.
