Legal Administrator

A fantastic vacancy has opened up for a Legal Administrator to join our client's York based office.

Our client is a highly successful, award winning firm, making this is an excellent opportunity for any Legal Administrator looking to gain invaluable experience

The role will be within the Ecclesiastical and Charities department and will involve dealing with enquiries, making appointments, liaising with clients, drafting documents, maintenance of registers and records and providing administrative support to members of the team.

On a daily basis your responsibilities will consist of:

• Providing support for the Province and the Dioceses of York, Leeds and Sodor and Man in the Church of England. This involves giving legal advice to the Archbishop of York, bishops, archdeacons, clergy and churchwardens concerning Church business such as clergy appointments, alterations and reordering of church buildings, churchyards, consecration and marriage.
• Advising charities on a range of issues including registering new charities, changing structures, merger of charities, charity governance, dealing with the Charity Commission and a wide range of issues affecting charities.
• Assisting with work in relation to schools, including the conversion of schools to academies, multi-academy trusts and advice in relation to education matters.
• Assisting with the work of a notary public.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience and be exceptionally organised.
