Ryder Reid is working with a prestigious US law firm to recruit an Office Manager for their rapidly-growing Frankfurt office. The Office Manager will provide leadership and management for the office, and will implement the business aspects of the firm's strategic plan. Responsibilities for the Office Manager will be diverse, including but not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate the administrative departments to ensure a cohesive and collaborative working environment
- Work with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure that appropriate accounting controls, procedures and training programs are in place for staff
- Prepare annual budget for office in conjunction with firm-wide budgeting guidelines
- Ensure office compliance with firm-wide polices and office-wide policies and procedures, including general operations, compensation, training, equal employment opportunity and other local governmental regulations
- Work with appropriate committees, firm-wide personnel and partners on recruiting, staffing levels, retention, training and salary administration of all legal and administrative staff
- Work with the Chief Information Officer to ensure efficient and effective use of the firm's information systems
- Oversee the office's records management function and ensure the development of the system of records management
- Facilities management, including space planning, reviewing and monitoring of leases, and liaising with building management
The ideal candidate for the Office Manager role will have strong management experience within a law firm. Fluency in German and English is required. You will have extensive experience of developing and motivating staff and demonstrable experience in administering budgets. You will have gravitas and the proven ability to work effectively with senior individuals. You must be able to function in a collaborative and collegial environment, and have a service focussed mind-set. A flexible, adaptable and hands-on approach is required along with a friendly and helpful demeanour.
