Legal Counsel

A multiple award-winning Wales business backed by leading financial institutions and providing backing to SME's in multiple sectors is looking for a Legal Counsel to join them in house for a full-time, permanent role.

Description

Reporting to the CFO and Head of Legal, you will provide a high quality and professional legal service in order to advance and protect the business interest whilst maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your duties as Legal Counsel will include:

• Manage and mitigating legal risks faced by the business;
• Providing an internal source of legal expertise;
• Leading contractual negotiations in support of business need;
• Managing external legal spend and legal partner relationships; and
• Leading legal relationship with trade bodies.

Candidate requirements

The Legal Counsel will be a solutions-oriented UK qualified solicitor able to demonstrate:

• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong negotiation skills;
• Excellent drafting and problem-solving skills; and
• Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
